Fudoh: The New Generation | 4K Ultra HD (Media Blasters)
Later this year, Media Blasters will be releasing a 4K Ultra HD for Fudoh: The New Generation, a 1996 cult actioner from Takashi Miike (First Love, 13 Assassins).
The film stars Shosuke Tanihara (My Rainy Days), Kenji Takano (Sleepless Town), Marie Jinno (Zero Woman: Assassin Lovers), Tamaki Kenmochi (The Innocent Man in Love), Miho Nomoto (The Peeping Tom) and Riki Takeuchi (Dead or Alive).
Riki Fudoh is a young man whose appearance is darkly deceptive… On the surface, he’s a model high school student, but beneath that exterior, he’s seething with homicidal hatred and a ruthless thirst for revenge! As a child, Riki witnessed the murder of his brother at the hands of his sadistic Yakuza crime lord father. Ever since then, Riki has been patiently biding his time for the opportunity to avenge his brother’s death. Now, Riki devises a clever plan to recruit his fellow classmates and assemble his own highly trained criminal youth assassin squad! Their single goal is to brutally eradicate the old regime of Yakuza bosses and seize control for the New Generation!
