“Escape From the 21st Century” Theatrical Poster
On June 9, 2025, Cineverse is releasing Escape From the 21st Century to select theaters. This 2024 sci-fi/comedy actioner is written and directed by Yang Li (Lee’s Adventure).
The story follows three friends who discover they have the power to travel back and forth 20 years with a sneeze. However, the future is not as good as they hoped, and they need to take on the responsibility of saving the world.
The film stars Ruoyun Zhang (Who’s the Murderer), Chuxi Zhong (The Knight of Shadows: Between Yin and Yang), Yang Song (The Sword Identity), Xiaoliang Wu (The Wandering Earth), Yanmanzi Zhu (The Wandering Earth II) and Zhengrong Wen (Love of Nirvana).
