Letterman being outshined by his guest. 1st time I heard of this guy. Hilarious clip!
The clip was pun filled and cute. It seems like Stephen Yan had comedic timing that was just as sharp as Dave’s. I’ve never heard of his cooking showing show before but I’m going to try to track down some old episodes and see if I can learn any stir-fry tricks.
“You want to cook or you want to talk?”
Hilarious.
I would describe this clip as retro Late Night cooking show. Thanks for the giveaway. This was an entertaining clip.
Wow, Dave is a condescending jerk. I never found him funny, and I’m glad he was eventually replaced. At least the food looked awesome!
I wonder if Dave ever had that guy on the show again…
That’s instant high blood pressure for Dave. Served himself well.
Letterman is an ass.
Letterman making food in a wok with Stephen Yan and Yan is funnier than Letterman is.
I discovered that Stephen Yan did a great job of upstaging David Letterman! Not only can Yan cook great oriental food, but he’s also hilarious! He could do another show and it could be called something like, “Yan Can Make You Laugh, Too”! This was a fun clip, and I enjoyed it very much!
Letterman learning how to Wok
That was uncomfortable for me to watch, the tension between Stephen and Dave, was this not rehearsed earlier?
Hilarious! I have always loved Yan and he outshines Letterman by a long shot.
I kept hoping that Yan would use that cleaver on Letterman. Lord knows he deserved it.
This is the first time I have heard of Stephen Yan, but his jokes hit faster and more conviction than anything that Letterman has done. Letterman seemed to be getting kind of mad at Tan and doesn’t seem to want to let the man talk. Good clip though
Uh…… was that chicken even cooked all the way?
David letterman was being an asshole.
I couldn’t finish the clip
Looks like Dave is getting a little jealous that the guest is getting way more laughs. I’m sure it’s all in fun. There’s no way Dave could be that much of a poor sport.
…hmmm…
For a guy who has limited air time, Letterman sure wants some descriptive history.
Just learned something about Stephan Yan. The funniest part is when Letterman joked about his hand got burned.
