A music video as badly dubbed of some of our beloved Kung fu films.
Had they no shame?
An 80’s hot mess!!! You guys and your crazy contests LOL
Diamond girls are easy. But not forever.
But yeah…weirdness.
I’m always a little embarrassed when I legitimately enjoy some of these obscure gems y’all post.
Super Cheesy 80’s pop with some questionable sounds throughout!
I’d love to comment but the video speaks for itself. A true…ummmmmmmmm…classic. Yes, I said it…classic.
I was really confused by the sound effects coming out of their microphones… also how were people not blinded by the reflection of the stage lights on their pants? Did they all die from that horrible explosion at the end?
A group singing and dancing horribly (or wonderfully). It’s like watching Morris Day and The Time in Purple Rain on drugs
A video of people having a really good time. That era of music seemed fun and creative. The remixer must’ve really enjoyed the song to upload their take.
Specimens LR-002, LR-005, and LR-02X, from the CIA’s Lionel Richie cloning program.
60’s,70’s were cool… 80’s were questionable.
Not Ready for the World.
Haha.. 80’s pop music!
The clip is from a popular entry in the little-known cult movie phenomena called “Princeploitation Cinema”. This particular film is called KING PRINCE VS THE SUCCUPPALONIA (aka. I Won’t Kill 4 U), starring the most well-coifed of the “Prince-alikes”, King Prince (aka. Danny Standpants), a former gym shorts model/ flyswatter salesman turned singer/dancer/action-drama star. This stage performance scene comes right after the Huffy bike chase through the amusement park (featuring the classic “death by cotton-candy sequence), and precedes the climactic cafeteria food-fight/ microphones-as-nunchaku duel. Spoiler alert: King Prince hits a high note which shatters a disco ball, blinding the villainess Succuppalonia, who then falls into the red red wine covered amplifier (a result of the food-fight carnage) and is electrocuted.
Fun fact: The band’s dance move at about the 1:30 mark was the inspiration for the film THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE. It’s true. 4 real. Look it up.
My Kickstarter campaign for the proposed documentary “I’M NOT FROM MINNEAPOLIS” THE STORY OF PRINCEPLOITATION & KING PRINCE AND THE PASSIVE OBSERVERS will be launching soon. Please support it! We already have a confirmed “maybe” for an interview with Sissy Apex, the great aunt of original Prince Wince & the Plumstead Quartet member Lonny “Big Lungs” Spevett (what stories she must have to tell!), an unseen, uncensored trailer for Princeploitation favorite BLUEISH SNOW AND THE MERRY MOON, and an unreleased alternate track for lollipop-fetishist Royal Sideburns’ shaker “Suck My Sucker, Sucker”. More info coming soon!
Wait, so is this what people call “a e s t h e t i c”?
They have some really interesting dance moves.
Almost felt like watching Soul Train without all the good dancing.
another reason on why the 80s rocked! kids go back in time and watch this
Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
MC Hammer before he was a diamond cutter. Hey did I win?
You have a cool name.
Hahhahah, why thank you kindly sir.
The love he felt was all along. Y’know? He’ll always wear his diamond, girl, diamond girl.
I wanna start a shiny hammer pants mullet dance crew. It’s aching for a comeback.
Oh, hell yeah, I actually drop this in sets sometimes when I DJ. First heard this at a roller rink, while I was busting a move (i.e. busting my ass) on those 2 + 2 skates, and roller derby girls were literally skating circles around me. I didn’t care, because I was vibing so hard to this freestyle jam. Maybe I just stayed on my ass and nodded my head and listened.
I want to see this done by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the height of their music career. That would be awesome to watch.
Only if I’m back to the 80s again, the music video and song would wow me.
