Director Kazuya Shiraishi (11 Rebels), who is perhaps best known for 2018’s The Blood of Wolves and 2019’s Sea of Revival, is back with his latest thriller, Bushido.
Kakunoshin, a quiet but highly skilled samurai known for his swordsmanship and mastery of go, lives by a strict code of honor. When his honesty is used against him, his own clan frames him for theft. Stripped of his status and forced to live as a ronin, he becomes a humble seal maker, supporting his daughter while hiding the pain of betrayal. Years later, a new case of missing gold leads him to the truth about the crime that ruined his life. Once the real culprit is revealed, his restraint breaks – and he unleashes long-awaited revenge.
Bushido stars Tsuyoshi Kusanagi (Midnight Swan), Kaya Kiyohara (Fight Song), Taishi Nakagawa (Eye Love You), Kyoko Koizumi (Bayside Shakedown) and Takumi Saitoh (13 Assassins).
Film Movement is releasing the film to theaters on March 13 2026, then on Digital on May 22, 2026. Watch the Trailer below:
