That was fast. Is it even getting *any* theatrical release?
I tried looking it up. It looks like it played at a bunch of festivals all over – California, Texas, Canada, etc. – and then:
ARC Entertainment, the US distributor for the film, announced on July 5, 2011 that Bunraku will be available on Video on Demand on September 1, 2011 and in theaters on September 30, 2011.
MPM might wanna add that to this article. I have to say, though, it’s gotta be a limited theatrical release if VOD is getting it a whole month earlier.
