🔥 Footnote: Cult director Samuel K. Nkansah is the subject of Andrew Leavold’s 2024 documentary, Film Safari Ghana. Nkansah, better known as “Ninja”, is a Ghanaian filmmaker whose wildly inventive, ultra low budget action movies helped put Ghana’s DIY film scene on the international radar. His 2010 sci fi action film 2016 gained unexpected attention after its trailer was featured on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, introducing audiences to his homemade mix of martial arts, science fiction and outrageous visual effects.
