Arriving in December is 88 Films’ Blu-ray (Region A/B) release for Final Victory, a 1987 Hong Kong action thriller from acclaimed director Patrick Tam Kar-Ming (My Heart Is That Eternal Rose, The Sword) and writer Wong Kar-wai (Chungking Express, In the Mood for Love).
When the affable Hung’s (Eric Tsang) violent brother Big Bo (Tsui Hark) is sent to prison, he rashly promises to look after both his wife and his mistress. However, this simple act of loyalty lands him in a world of trouble.
Final Victory is a satisfyingly original action thriller, laced with tension and plenty of twists and turns.
