On December 11, 2018, Well Go USA is releasing the Blu-ray & DVD for Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days (read our review), the continuation of Kim Yong-Hwa’s (Mr. Go) fantasy blockbuster, Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds.
The first film saw the story of a firefighter (Cha Tae-Hyun) who is taken to the afterlife by three guardians. Once there, he completes in seven trials before he can be reincarnated.
Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days stars Ha Jung-woo (The Handmaiden), Ju Ji-hoon (Asura: The City of Madness), Kim Hyang-gi (A Werewolf Boy), Lee Jung-jae (Operation Chromite), Ma Dong-Seok (Train to Busan), Kim Dong-Wook (Take Off) and Doh Kyung-soo (My Annoying Brother).

It’s worth noting that both Oh Dal-soo and Choi Il-hwa have been edited out of this, having been caught up in the sexual harassment allegations currently sweeping through the Korean film industry, and have had their scenes re-shot with replacement actors Jo Han-chul and Kim Myung-gon.
Woah! Were the original actors in the theatrical release?
I figured this wouldn’t stop with Kim Ki-Duk.
They remain in ‘The Two Worlds’, but have been replaced in ‘The Last 49 Days’.
Oh, I misunderstood. I thought an “All the Money in the World” was pulled with the original as well.
