Ya… I m waiting
Damn the theaters! I wanted the blu-ray for Christmas!
I’m sure the Blu-ray will hit right around the same time. 🙂
I like Florentine. I couldn’t honestly say he’s a great director or anything, but he’s a master of shooting fight scenes.
There are so many action films these days that are frustrating to watch because the director has no clue how to shoot a fight properly, shaking the camera and circling the action, cutting after (or sometimes before) every impact. It means you can’t see the fight. The only way you know who’s won and who’s lost is by whoever is still standing when the camera has stopped having a fit. Why don’t decent directors want to make martial arts films in the U.S?
When Florentine shoots a fight, he keeps the camera wide, only moving it to keep the actors in frame, long takes and minimal cuts, he speeds up and slows down the camera to show off the more impressive elements of the choreography and hid the blows that don’t connect.
Any Florentine/Adkins project I’m interested in seeing. I just hope it doesn’t take forever to get a release in the UK. Roll on Undisputed IV.
Dec 1 on VOD and theatres? Oh yeah, then we get the blu on 01/06…I think it’s great news!!! Cant wait.
it is a pretty amazing movie. it was released as a tv movie in northern Europe in september and it is always fantastic seeing adkins in action. Lots of gunplay and some visceral fight scenes. the story is really simple but it doesn’t pull back any punches because if it. isaac’s movies just keep getting better and better.
