Tom Cruise, eat your heart out! Louis Koo (Accident) is doing the powered exoskeleton thing with VIRTUS (aka Mao Dun Zhan Zheng), an upcoming sci-fi action flick that may possibly be Hong Kong’s answer to all that Halo, Robocop and Edge of Tomorrow stuff.

At one point, Benny Chan (Call of Heroes) was attached to direct, but according to the latest word from AFS, Ng Yuen-Fai – a talent known for his special effects work on films such as Bodyguards and Assassins and The White Storm – is helming VIRTUS. The same source adds that Lau Ching Wan (The Bullet Vanishes) is co-starring.

VIRTUS is set to go into production soon. Until then, check out this 1995 preliminary “teaser” below:

    “Until then, check out this 1995 preliminary “teaser” below:” – The only thing that made me laugh more than this line, was the inclusion of ‘FATface’ in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
