Hopefully as a villain he is rocking dual Berettas and a toothpick
I recently had the opportunity to see ‘Cold War’ and was deeply impressed with the results aside from a dubiously placed action sequence, and some of the casting choices. (Aarif Rahim is not the face of intimidation.) It’s too bad that this would never get a teevee series, because the ideas contained therein are worth exploring in depth.
Longman Leung & Sunny Luk really built on the foundation they developed here with ‘Helios’ and I hope they continue to improve.
Ha! You beat me to it.
Looks superb. Really hope they build on the strengths of the first picture.
i wouldn’t really call either Sunny or Longman inexperienced, Longman has worked behind the scenes for a long time, while Sunny has been one of the best assistant directors in Hong Kong for years working for everyone from Tsui Hark, Yuen Woo-ping, Andrew Lau etc
they’re great guys and breathing new life into HK cinema
Appreciate the feedback/info.
Looking forward to seeing Chow in something other than those wretched VEGAS TO MACAU movies.
The initial trailer for this film shows a brief line-up of supporting roles, including a character to be played by the very talented recording artist, 周笔畅, who is trying her hand again at appearing in a feature film. Does anyone know what her character’s part is in this film and how big of a role it is?
I was close to importing Cold War II. Glad I waited!
