Yuen Cheung-yan, Hong Kong stunt performer and fight director, has passed away at the age of 69 due to an undisclosed illness. He has appeared, choreographed and directed films such as 1967’s The One-Armed Swordsman, 1976’s The Big Boss Part 2, and 1984’s Taoism Drunkard, respectively.
Alongside the famous “Yuen” family – including his older brother Yuen Woo-ping (Fist of Legend, Matrix) and Simon Yuen (Beggar So in Drunken Master) – Cheung-yan helped shape some of Hong Kong’s most iconic martial arts films over his decades-long career.
His later work includes roles in 2004’s Kung Fu Hustle, and choreographing action in Hollywood features such as 2003’s Daredevil, 2000’s Charlie’s Angels and 2003’s Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

Kinda sucks to hear this. He and his family the Yuen Clan, always made whatever kung fu films they were in fun and worth watching, no matter how crazy they were.
The first Charlies angels movie is so good and a lot of that credit goes to Master Yuen cheung Yan
