Hydra | Blu-ray (Well Go USA)
Today’s Deal on Fire is the Blu-ray for Hydra (read our review), a 2019 Japanese thriller that marks the directorial debut of actor/stuntman Kensuke Sonomura (Bushido Man).
Directed by Kensuke Sonomura (action director from the Resident Evil games, Vendetta and Degeneration) and starring Masanori Mimoto (Enter the Fat Dragon, Death Note), Hydra will debut exclusively on the martial arts streaming service Hi-YAH! on July 2, before hitting Digital, Blu-ray™ and DVD July 20 from Well Go USA Entertainment.
After retiring as an assassin, Takashi (Masanori Mimoto, Alien vs. Ninja) leads a quiet life as a chef at a sushi bar, where he secretly watches over the daughter of a former mark. His peace is short-lived: soon, he is recruited for a final job that he simply can’t refuse.
The film also stars Miu, Tasuku Nagase, Takaya Aoyagi, Takashi Nishina, Satoshi Kibe, Kensuke Sonomura, Tsutomu Uchigasaki and Naoki Hayashida.

It’s good to see Well Go USA picking up some compelling movies. After the likes of “The Russian Raid” and “Invincible Dragon”, it’s refreshing to see stuff like “Paper Tigers” and “Hydra” being released. I’m looking forward to it.
