Vin Diesel is set to star in Universal’s post-apocalyptic/sci-fi action flick titled Soldiers of the Sun. Although there is no director attached, Soldiers of the Sun will be based off the creation and screenplay by Arash Amel (I Am Legend 2, Grace of Monaco, Erased). Universal also has plans of making the film a franchise for the Fast and Furious star.

According to THR, Soldiers of the Sun is set in a post-apocalyptic future and focuses on a squad of soldiers that searches for a fabled city of gold while on a tour of duty in Mexico, liberating it from an alien race known as Orcs.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this project. By the way, it’s either 2002 again – or – Vin Diesel’s career is at its second peak. Does this mean we’re going to see a sequel to The Pacifier?

  1. American Ninja Man says:

Vin Diesel had his chance and he blew it by making unwatchable crap like A Man Apart (Doing Stallone badly), The Pacifier (doing Bruce Willis badly), Chronicles Of Riddick ( doing Schwarzengger badly) and XXX (doing James Bond badly) Babylon A.D (doing Van Damme badly) so why would I want to watch Vin Diesel do Mel Gibson badly?
