Village of Doom | Blu-ray (Unearthed Films)

On October 22, 2024, Unearthed Films will release a Blu-ray for Village of Doom, 1983 thriller – based on real events of the 1938 Tsuyama massacre – from cult director Noboru Tanaka (Rape and Death of a Housewife)
An emotionally distraught young man goes on a violent killing spree after his tuberculosis keeps him from serving in World War II and is frowned upon by his fellow villagers.
The film stars Masato Furuoya (Disciples of Hippocrates), Misako Tanaka (The Beautiful Women’s City), Kumiko Oba (House), Isao Natsuyagi (Haunted Samurai), Midori Satsuki (The Miracle of Umitsubame Joe), Shino Ikenami (White and Wet Summer), Izumi Hara (Bound for the Fields, the Mountains, and the Seacoast) and Renji Ishibashi (Tetsuo: The Iron Man).
