“Valley of the Shadow of Death” Theatrical Poster
UK audiences will soon witness Valley of the Shadow of Death, the latest from veteran Hong Kong actor Anthony Wong (Untold Story, Hard Boiled, Big Bullet).
Valley of the Shadow of Death marks the feature debut of rising Hong Kong directors Jeffrey Lam and Antonio Tam (who also wrote the picture).
In the film, church pastor Leung (Wong) struggles to reconcile his feelings about sin and punishment when the young man who caused the death of his daughter is released from prison and placed in the care of the church. Leung is torn between taking his vengeance as a father and living up to the ideals he preaches.
Valley of the Shadow of Death also stars George Au (Blossoms Under Somewhere), Louisa So Yuk-Wah (The Sparring Partner), Sheena Chan (Blossoms Under Somewhere), Summer Chan (Beyond the Sin) and Timothy Tsz-Hin Choi (Life Must Go On).
Valley of the Shadow of Death was originally released in Hong Kong last year, but Showalker is releasing the film in UK cinemas on November 14, 2025.
