RELEASE DATE: March 27, 2012
With the upcoming release of The Expendables 2, the studios are ready to cash-in on the “The Muscles from Brussels” like it’s the 90’s! Directed by and starring Van Damme, The Quest is about a pickpocket (Van Damme) who heads to the Far East in order to escape police trouble. While there, he gets mixed up in a deadly martial arts competition. Also starring Roger Moore. Check out the trailer.
This is one of the first martial arts movies I ever saw in theaters so it’ll always have a special place in my heart. Little known fact: it actually has one of the best action movie scores of all time from underrated composer Randy Edelman (Dragonheart, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story).
I could hear that they even recycled his “Dragon” soundtrack in the film’s trailer (which is usually a common practice with studio soundtracks anyways)…
I’m waiting for Knock-off on Blu-ray!
Yeah, some of the action stars like Van Damme and Chuck Norris are sadly underrepresented on blu-ray.
I’d like to see the first DELTA FORCE on Blu-ray. Great movie and awesome performance by Robert Forster.
