The Gangster’s Daughter | Blu-ray (Bayview Films)
On November 14, 2023, Bayview Films is releasing the Blu-ray for The Gangster’s Daughter, a 2017 crime-thriller directed by Mei-Juin Chen (The Double Life of Li Xianglan).
The Gangster’s Daughter follows the kinship between Xinwu Chen, a middle school girl (played by Ally Chi, Copycat Killer), and her gangster father Xi Ge (starring Jack Kao, Millennium Mambo). What lies behind his gangster style is a focus on shared emotions between a daughter and her long-separated father.
The film also stars Edison Song (Women in Taipei), Stephenie Lim (The Age of Innocence), Lawrence Ko (The Year of Happiness and Love) and Jay Kao (Nowhere Man).
