Grindhouse Releasing presents the Blu-ray & DVD for 1966’s The Big Gundown, directed by Sergio Sollima (Run, Man, Run). Unofficial lawman John Corbett (Lee Van Cleef) hunts down Cuchillo Sanchez (Tomas Milian), a Mexican peasant accused of raping and killing a 12-year-old girl. The film also features a soundtrack by the legendary Ennio Morricone (Fistful of Dollars). Watch the trailer.
Say whaaa… I’ve wanted to see this for a while now, but the version they play, like, twice a year on cable isn’t in HD. First world problems, am I right? But seriously, this is awesome news.
Man, I’ve gotta catch up on Italian Westerns period. Other than the usual (Dollars Trilogy, Once Upon A Time in the West), the only others I’ve seen were Django and The Great Silence. 🙁
Cool, I can’t wait to get it for Ennio Morricone music lol. His music just works for kung-fu movies.
