Well Go USA has confirmed that certain Blu-ray discs created at a manufacturing facility for multiple theatrical and home media titles were pressed in error, and Well Go USA’s August 4th release of Snow Girl and the Dark Crystal contains a documentary feature, and not the feature film.
To their knowledge, this issue has only affected Wal-Mart retail store customers.
Well Go USA is working with their manufacturing facility and with their retailers to replace these Blu-ray discs. New shipments will be delivered within in the next week.
If you discover that your Blu-ray copy of Snow Girl and the Dark Crystal does not contain the intended feature film, please send Well Go USA an email at service@wellgousa.com. They will provide you with a postage-paid shipping label, so that you can send the Blu-ray disc only (no packaging, please) to their facility, and they will ship out a new replacement disc immediately.
Should the error be discovered through any other retail or online outlet, they will replace those discs accordingly. Well Go USA thanks their loyal fans and customers for their patience and understanding in this matter.
Disc didn’t show stated movie, but something about blues and a cruise ship
Lol. I got the same one in Sacramento, Ca.
Yes, that’s correct. A pressing error at the manufacturing facility somehow caused a documentary called DEEP SEA BLUES to be encoded to the Blu-Ray discs, not SNOW GIRL AND THE DARK CRYSTAL.
As detailed in the article above, if you’ll send our Service Department an email (Service@wellgousa.com), we will email you a pre-paid shipping label. You’ll send that defective Blu-Ray back to us, and we’ll swap it out with a NEW Blu-Ray disc with the proper movie on it.
I exchanged movie 3 times just to get the same “Blues Cruise”. I did watch the Blues Cruise and would like to attend some day but that’s beside the point. I don’t want my money back. I just want the movie that is displayed on the title of the bluray case… “Snow Girl And The Dark Crystal”.
Kaleo, if you’ll follow the directions from the article above and send our Service Department an email (Service@wellgousa.com), you’ll get a pre-paid shipping label for you to send the defective Blu-Ray back to us, and we’ll swap it out with a NEW Blu-Ray disc with the proper movie on it.
I hope a voucher for a future purchase or something will be included for custumers time and inconvenience.
Tiffany: I’ve checked with our Service Department, and they confirmed they received your request yesterday (Sunday 8/16). We’re paying both-ways shipping for you to return your disc, and for us to ship you a replacement Blu-Ray. Watch your email for the pre-paid shipping label, so you can send your defective disc back to us.
I’ve been waiting for over a week now and this company will not reply to any of my emails to get the correct movie this is bad customer service
Isaiah: What’s your email address? I monitor emails through Well Go USA’s website and have nothing from an Isaiah. I also checked with our Service department, and they’ve not received anything from an Isaiah, either. Are you emailing to Service@wellgousa.com, as noted in the article above?
Yes I’ve sent about 6 emails now and my email is isaiah_stcin@yahoo.com
How convenient an excuse. I’m having the EXACT same problem. No replies to my attempts to communicate with them. At this point it will be easier just to exchange it at Wal-Mart. Thank GOD I kept the receipt!
I’ve checked with our Service Department again, and they claim to have never received an email from that address. I am going to email you directly myself, so we can get you taken care of. Look for that email in the next five minutes. -cdo
I purchased two copies of this Blu-ray and on both copies was some blues deep sea video. Walmart refused to return my money or let me get a different DVD. I have as of yet sent a message to the company but am about to and will report as to the outcome.
Anthony: do you mean you *haven’t* sent a message as of yet? The email is Service@wellgousa.com– make sure to give us your Full name and the preferred address you want for your replacement disc. You’ll get an email reply with a pre-paid shipping label in attachment. Ship us your Blu-Ray, but keep your packaging- we’ll ship out a new Blu-Ray once we get your defective one. Hope this helps! -cdo
I sent one today, bit I want to include that o have two blu rays not one, because Walmart would not return either
After I eventually got around to trying to watch this, and finding I didn’t get the movie I bought, I went back to the store to exchange for a replacement. But they didn’t have any copies of the movie. And none of the other local Walmarts had any. I told them I suspected the movie had been recalled or something, but Walmart didn’t admit to knowing anything about it. It seems more should have been done to work with Walmart to maintain some correct copies of the movie for when customers bring them back. But since that didn’t happen, and neither they nor I knew about a replacement program, I ended up refunding it. That certainly took longer than I’d have liked, but after they played the disc and realized I wasn’t making up a story they gave me store credit. Poor communication cost Well Go my purchase and plenty of my own time.
Are they still doing the replacement? I just bought the movie and got the same Blue Cruise shit.
I’d contact well go usa direct. I’m sure they’ll gladly replace it.
