I seriously love this movie so much, just reading it makes me wanna yank out my 2 disc Director’s Cut DVD and watch it again, for the 250th time. And the transition from Bellucci’s prone naked form to a hilly landscape ranks as the best Cinematic Dissolve in history!

20 years since watching this in the cinema, it’s this dissolve that I still remember more than anything else. If you look up the definition of preposterous in the dictionary, this would be it.
