More brutal than Lionheart? ‘Life After Fighting’ star Bren Foster is ready to FIGHT in the New Poster for ‘Relentless’

Hot off the heels of Bren Foster’s impressive 2024 film debut, Life After Fighting – which he also directed, wrote, produced and choreographed – Foster has now begun work on his next starring/directorial effort, Relentless.

In the film, a former soldier/fighter (Foster) is forced back into the brutal underground arena when he’s faced with the fight of his life – not against an opponent, but against time itself. Driven by love and the desperate need to protect his family’s future, he steps into a world where every hit could be his last. As the line between sacrifice and self- destruction blurs, his journey becomes a raw and emotional battle for redemption, legacy, and the enduring power of love (via FilmInk).

As with his last film, Foster not only stars, but is also fight choreographer, producer and writer.

Relentless is one we’re genuinely excited for given his track record on Life After Fighting. In the latter, Foster incorporated all of the styles he’s proficient in, and without creating a laundry list of every style that gets thrown into the mix, even an untrained eye will likely be able to spot Taekwondo, Hapkido, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, and Escirima – watching each of the styles be blended together so seamlessly (and ruthlessly!) made the finale of Life After Fighting one the best moments in 21st century martial arts cinema. To put it simply, this guy knows what he’s doing.

The film also stars Amanda Righetti (Captain America: The First Avenger), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Matt Passmore (Son of the Mask), Aaron Glenane (Primitive War), Matuse (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga), Cassie Howarth (Life After Fighting) and Anthony Brandon Wong (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire).

Relentless will be released by Australia’s Spinning Plates Productions’ with global distribution handled by Spirit Media. We’ll keep you updated on this project as we learn more. Until then, check out some on-set photos below:

“‘Relentless’ follows the story of an underground fighter who is diagnosed with cancer and is left with the decision to keep fighting to provide for his family in the long run,”
“You get to see the joint battle with cancer versus the battle in the arena.”

This looks like a darker and grittier version of Blood and Bone. Glad to see Foster is on a roll.

Foster also choreographed, wrote and produced this one. Why didn’t you mention this in the text guys?
