“Per Aspera Ad Astra” Teaser Poster
Director Han Yan – who is perhaps best known for 2018’s Dream Breaker and Animal World (you know… that Chinese flick that starred Michael Douglas) – will be unleashing Per Aspera Ad Astra (aka Xing He Ru Meng), an upcoming sci-fi thriller that’s due for release in the summer.
Much like the filmmaker’s aforementioned films, Per Aspera Ad Astra is yet another special effects-laden film that involves a futuristic technology called “Good Dreams”, which lets people live out desires in dream reality. Crisis emerges from these dreams, unfolding quietly.
The film stars Dylan Wang (Love Between Fairy and Devil), Duo Wang (The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity), Victoria Song (Ice Fantasy), Feng Zu (A Long Shot) and Haiqiong Luo (Assembly).
Per Aspera Ad Astra hits Chinese theaters on July 5, 2025.
