Following his first three directorial efforts – 2014’s Hungry Ghost Ritual, 2015’s Keeper of Darkness and 2018’s The Trough – Hong Kong star Nick Cheung Ka-fai (Bodies at Rest, Integrity) is back in the director’s chair for a 4th time in Peg O’ My Heart (aka Shadow of Redemption).

In the film, Cheung will star opposite Terrance Lau (Beyond the Dream), who is mostly known for his portrayal of Leslie Cheung in the recent Anita Mui biopic.

Peg O’ My Heart also stars Fala Chen (72 Tenants of Prosperity), Rebecca Zhu (From Vegas to Macau II), Ben Yuen Foo-Wah (The Eye), Natalie Hsu (Bursting Point), Julius Brian Siswojo (Raging Fire) and Deon Cheung (Project Gutenberg).

No plot details yet for Peg O’ My Heart, but judging from the Trailer, we can definitely expect another creepy thriller from Cheung.

  1. Phil Chan says:

The Trough was pretty rough but I liked Keeper of Darkness. If nothing else, kudos to Nick Cheung for keeping the horror genre alive in today’s HK cinema. Haven’t seen Fala Chen in a Hong Kong production for a long time now, that’ll be interesting.
