Sion Sono to direct gruesome murder series for Netflix

Director Sion Sono (Why Don’t You Play in Hell?), “the most subversive filmmaker working in Japanese cinema today,” has signed on to direct a Netflix series titled Ai-naki Mori de Sakebe, which translates to “Shout in the Loveless Forest.” The upcoming series – which revolves around a gruesome triple murder – stars Kippei Shiina (Outrage), Shinnosuke Mitsushima (The Third Murder) and Denden (Cold Fish).
