Today’s Deal on Fire is the Blu-ray Double Feature for 1989’s Bloodfight and 1992’s Ironheart, both starring martial arts cult legend Bolo Yeung (Soul of Chiba, The Big Boss 2, Enter the Dragon).
From Shuji Goto (Angel Target) comes Bloodfight (aka Final Fight), a Hong Kong-produced Bloodsport-type flick that also stars Simon Yam (The Mission), Yasuaki Kurata (The Empty Hands) and John Ladalski (The Chinese Stuntman).
Bloodfight takes you back to the ”arena of death”. Chang (Bolo) is the ruthless and unbeatable title holder of the World Free-Fighting Tournament. Kai (Yasuaki), an ex-champion believes different and trains a young student to capture the title. In the final match, Chang shows no sympathy for his young challenger and leaves him motionless in a pool of blood. Kai, outraged, challenges Chang to a one-on-one confrontation!
In Ironheart, an L.A. cop goes after a gang of murderous drug dealers. Joining Bolo is Richard Norton (Mission: Terminate) and Britton K. Lee. The film is directed by Robert Clouse (Enter the Dragon, Game of Death).

Iron Heart was so bad. Just freaking awful. Such is in the ranking of worst 90s martial arts movie. It literally makes Kickboxer 3 seem like The Big Boss
I have yet to see Ironheart in its entirety. I remember bits and pieces and it very-much felt like a 90’s Robert Clouse film, minus Golden Harvest-backing.
