The Continental, an upcoming John Wick 3-Part origin series that’s currently in post-production, is expected to premiere on Peacock on September 22nd.
The Continental will explore the origin behind the hotel-for-assassins, which increasingly has become the centerpiece of the John Wick universe, as seen in John Wick (2014), John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017), John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4.
This will be accomplished through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott (played by Colin Woodell, but previously played in the films by Ian McShane), who is dragged into the Hell-scape of a 1975 New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the New York’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the iconic hotel, which serves as the meeting point for the world’s most dangerous criminals (via Deadline).
Woodell stars alongside Ayomide Adegun, who will portray a young Charon, Peter Greene, who plays Uncle Charlie, Mel Gibson as Cormac, Ben Robson as Frankie, Hubert Point-Du Jour as Miles, Jessica Allain as Lou, Mishel Prada as KD and Nhung Kate as Yen.
Executive producers Greg Coolidge (The Expendables TV series) and Kirk Ward (Wayne) are writing the series, along with Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Chad Stahelski, Derek Kolstad, David Leitch, Shawn Simmons, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who are also producing.

“‘Lethal Weapon’ and ‘Mad Max’ star Mel Gibson” wow thanks for situating Mel Gibson for us JJ, and I do hope “Rocky” and “Rambo” star Sylvester Stallone also joins the cast! 🤓
LOL! Every chance I get, I will. I love Mel. =) And yes, that would be cool if they got more 80s action stars to join the cast (that seems to be the thing these days… get as many “action stars” as you can in one feature)

Except if you’re The Expendables 4, apparently (and amazingly)^^…
I LOVE the John Wick films as most do who frequent this site I’m sure. Really hoping this is going to be good. Will definitely be subscribing to the Peacock to check this out
Having seen all the John Wick films, including the recent John Wick 4, which Donnie Yen was awesome in, I would love to see this too, particularly since Winston has become one of the more interesting characters throughout the entire John Wick series. h
I’ll check this out, but I’m not really interested in going backwards with this franchise. I wonder if Collin Woodell will be doing an Ian McShane impression and if he’ll also be a skilled assassin.
Prequels do have their place, but sometimes it’s better to move forward and have the right conclusion.
