
On May 12, 2026, 88 Films is releasing the U.S. Blu-ray (Region A) for The Himalayan, a 1976 martial arts thriller director Huang Feng (Stoner).
After she’s framed for adultery by her wicked brother-in-law Tseng Ching Lam (Angela Mao, Invincible Eight) takes to the hills to plot her revenge. That will come when she’s learned the ancient Tibetan martial art of Mi – and her enemies won’t know what’s hit them.
Partially filmed amongst the majestic scenery of Nepal, and boasting the kick-ass action you’d expect from a film where Sammo Hung handled the fights, The Himalayan is a monumental slice of seventies king fu, freshly restored and available on Blu-ray for the very first time.
The film also stars Chan Sing (Death Ring), Dorian Tan Tao-Liang (The Leg Fighters), Guan Shan (Lady Killer), Angela Wang En-Chi (Warriors Two), Han Ying-Chieh (The Big Boss) and Sammo Hung (The Association).

This was a pretty good one on the older Angela Mao DVD set. It moves slow, but the movie is meant to be almost meditative as we watch her learn the “esoteric style” of kung fu, and then the fights are a good payoff.
