On August 2, 2022, Kino Lorber is releasing the Blu-ray for The Octagon, a 1980 actioner directed by Eric Karson (Black Eagle, Angel Town) and starring martial arts legend, Chuck Norris (Slaughter in San Francisco, Code of Silence, Way of the Dragon).
Plagued by painful memories as a fighter, Scott (Chuck Norris) has stayed away from the dark side of battle. But when a wealthy heiress seeking revenge hires him to infiltrate an international terrorist operation run by his adopted bother, Scott has no idea what he is coming up against. Drawn closer and closer to The Octagon, Scott realizes his brother is using his skill in the deadliest manner, training men in the ninja style of killing. Now it is up to Scott to battle his brother in the ultimate showdown of good vs. evil!

Now…THIS I’m looking forward to. Although it remains another curious Norris flick. Large chunks of it is a drag, a needlessly confusing plot that’s mostly action-free, and compounded by a whispery Chuck Norris voice-over throughout (I love you Chuck, but Morgan Freeman you ain’t!)
But the last 20 minutes is GOLD! The Chuck taking down a compound of Ninjas is exhilarating and his fight with Richard Norton (hidden behind full Ninja garb) is a keeper!
I agree, Last section of the film is the most fun.
