Lionsgate presents the Blu-ray & DVD for Wild Card, directed by Simon West (The Expendables 2) and starring Jason Statham. The film is a remake of the 1986 Burt Reynolds movie Heat (No relation to the 1995 Michael Mann movie).
When a Las Vegas bodyguard with lethal skills and a gambling problem gets in trouble with the mob, he has one last play… and it’s all or nothing. Hong Kong legend Corey Yuen (The Transporter, Righting Wrongs) will be providing the film’s choreography Watch the trailer!

Statham is becoming a remake whore. He looks like the exact same guy every movie, and it’s starting to get old. He needs to do something that makes him stick out from all his bland roles. Statham works well in action films, he just needs to do something that gives him a different type of character.
Have you seen Safe yet? I can’t say Statham stretches his acting chops in it or anything, but it’s definitely one of his best action movies since the original Transporter.
I agree, Statham is starting to show his limits…the trailer for Parker doesn’t get me excited at all because 1.) it looks like more of the same for Statham and 2.) Mel Gibson already made the same movie with Payback.
I’m a biased Statham fanboy, so sign me up!
