Today’s Deal on Fire is the Blu-ray for Criterion’s Infernal Affair Trilogy. This popular Hong Kong film series consists of 2002’s, Infernal Affairs, 2003’s Infernal Affairs II and Infernal Affairs III.

Collectively, the series is directed by both Andrew Lau (Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen) and Alan Mak (Integrity), and stars Tony Leung (All U Need is Love), Andy Lau (The White Storm 2: Drug Lords), Eric Tsang (7 Assassins), Anthony Wong (Still Human), Francis Ng (Wind Blast), Edison Chen (Coweb), Shawn Yue (The Brink), Leon Lai (Wine War) and Kelly Chen (The Monkey King).

The first film of the series, which served as the basis for Martin Scorsese’s 2006 thriller The Departed, revolves around Chan Wing Yan (Tony Leung), a hard-nosed veteran cop sent undercover to infiltrate the notorious Triad crime ring. What he’s not prepared for is the discovery that the Triad’s boss (Eric Tsang) has planted a mole (Andy Lau) in the police department… and now Chan is being hunted down. In this battle of wills, only one cop can win!
