It feels like Operation Fortune was a teaser for this movie. I hope it’s as bombastic as the trailer makes it out to be.

Boring. And that poster, come on…

Gonna buy the 4KUHD/BD of Cross of iron instead, a little more original and daring.

I caught it over the weekend, and it was some good fun. If Inglorious Basterds had more action, I get the feeling this is what it would have looked like.

This is the third time in a row that Cary Elwes has been sidelined in a spy thriller, so I’m wondering if he’s being typecast as that guy now. The rest of the cast does well in the film with Alan Ritchson essentially stealing the show with how he got the best kills in the movie. If he really is going to be James Gunn’s choice for Batman, I’d welcome it.

Eiza Gonzalez has a scene where she gets to show her proficiency with firearms, which makes one think she’s going to get in on the action, but other than shooting one guy, no such thing occurs disappointingly.

Henry Golding obviously does better here than in Snake Eyes and Assassin Club, but he needed more screen time as his demolitionist character was likable.

All in all, not a bad time spent at the theatre.

      Did you mean Henry Cavill?

      • Andrew Hernandez says:

No, Henry Cavill has plenty of time on the frontlines. Cary Elwes stays behind the scenes much like he did in Operation Fortune and Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning. I would have liked to see him get in on the action instead of being out of the way.
