Martial arts star Scott Adkins (John Wick 4, Ip Man 4, Triple Threat) is back to his “reckoning” antics. In 2012, he starred in Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning; in 2020 came Dead Reckoning; now comes Day of Reckoning, a thriller heading our way next year.
The upcoming film marks the debut feature of Shaun Silva, who is best known for his music video productions for country artists such as Sugarland, Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood.
In Day of Reckoning, Adkins is part of an ensemble cast that includes Zach Roerig (Rings), Billy Zane (Titanic), Cara Jade Myers (Killers of the Flower Moon), Travis Hammer (Rust), country artist Trace Adkins (The Lincoln Lawyer) and rappers Yelawolf and Struggle Jennings.
On the verge of losing his wife and his job as sheriff, put-upon lawman John Dorsey (Roerig) reluctantly teams up with bullish U.S. Marshall Butch Hayden (Zane) to hold outlaw Emily Rusk (Myers) hostage. A battle of wills ensues as Emily turns the posse on themselves, but as her marauding husband and his gang approach, Emily and John realize they will need each other to survive.
ESX Entertainment is releasing Day of Reckoning exclusively in theaters on March 28, 2025. Don’t miss its Trailer below:
I am a sucker for the horror genre, and I am the first to admit that I was lured in by the promise of the movie cover/poster. Especially because it did seem rather interesting, sort of a mixture between something demonic and zombiesque.
