Details have emerged for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s upcoming 15th anniversary 4K Blu-ray (pre-order here) and Blu-ray editions (pre-order here) of director Ang Lee’s Oscar-winning film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Named “Best Picture of the Year” by over 100 critics nationwide! Two master warriors (Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeoh) are faced with their greatest challenge when the treasured Green Destiny sword isstolen. A young aristocrat (Zhang Ziyi) prepares for an arranged marriage, but soon reveals her superior fighting talents and her deeply romantic past. The upcoming releases (both the 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray) will be sourced from a new 4K master and will offer exclusive new and never-before-seen features.

I’ll probably pick it up.
Is the goal of these Sony releases to have the worst cover arts of all time? Seriously. What a bland and uninspired cover for such a great movie. It’s ironic that the release is packed with extras. Kind of makes you wonder how the cover could be so lazy.
Totally. But I can definitely say I like it better than the tired “orange” poster that’s been around for years.
From what I remember the commentary is especially annoying since Ang Lee is trying to eloquently describe the movie and James Schamus is next to him just shitting on everything like a boorish asshole.
For example, when Chow Yun-Fat first walks into the movie Schamus says something like “He looks like he’s wearing pyjamas…”
