When I started watching East Asian films, it was often times difficult to find information and reviews about the genre-until I discovered this site. Cityonfire.com is my singular source of information about release dates of upcoming theatrical and home video releases, actors, directors, as well as very detailed importer information. This site contains information about whether to buy an import or stick with the domestic release of a DVD or Blu Ray, thereby helping me avoid buying a version of the movie that has been cut. Keep up the good work.

I’ve been coming to CIty on Fire for a while now and I love it. It’s my favorite film site and the best one I’ve seen for delivering HK and kung fu film news. It’s a daily visit and a permanent tab on my web browser. Thanks for all the hard work!

  3. Ron says:

I love the site. I find myself visiting the site multiple times a day. The layout is easy to follow and they don’t go too long without posting something new. Wish I had suggestions to improve the site, but I like it just the way it is.

  4. Terry says:

Thanks for the website, it’s the only place to go for Asian/action film news as far as I’m concerned. The “Deals on fire” are great and the site is updated so frequently it pays to check it out at least twice a day. I recently had a few questions about some non U.S. released blu rays, my questions were answered quickly and intelligently which led me to purchase a couple of movies from Amazon that I probably wouldn’t have otherwise. Keep up the good work.

  5. Andrew says:

First and foremost, this site is definitely one of my Favs. No one else out there caters to my favorite genres of movie like you guys do. Plus all of the updates and news is second to none. I’m just sad you guys don’t do the Tuesday Release’s anymore? I used to base my purchases off of that. (since now a days retailers don’t carry these type of movies very often) and also I wish you guys did more reviews! I’m curious to hear your opinions and insight on films.
Other then those 2 minor complaints, keep up the fantastic work!! Thanks 🙂

  6. Travis Else says:

I have not found a more comprehensive site for the latest upcoming Blu/DVD releases than this one. I would also not be aware of all the online deals if not for the Deals on Fire section. The reviews are a blast to read and re-read after I watch the films. Ways to improve? Can’t think of much. Maybe just one thing because of my OCD: when I look up the reviews for an actor or director, you could present them in chronological order (production order) instead of the order in which you reviewed them. Like when I look up Jackie Chan for example, we go from Shaolin to Project A, then a couple reviews down to Shinjuku Incident. That’s just me, though, I like having things presented in a certain way. Thanks for all your hard work.

  7. Chad Harry says:

This is the only site that I go to for up to date info on Martial Art Films. The articles are fun and its a blast just to visit this site everyday to see what has been added. Between movie news, dvd/blurays coming out to reviews. This site has it all and more.

  8. Shaun says:

It’s easy to feel as though martial arts cinema is a dying genre but then there are sites like City on Fire that remind you it isn’t. I always know I can come here for news, trailers, DVD release dates etc. Since coming to US shores, this place has been a blessing as I always know what films are on the horizon.
Thorough, well written and certainly on the ball. This place is a fantastic hub for all things Eastern Cinema!

  9. STDZ says:

As long as the headlines are honest and don’t try to start a rumor war, I am cool with it. I know accidents happen sometimes, but just being honest with the news is important. The reviews are appreciated, and there seems to be a lot more freedom of speech here compared to KungFuCinema and other restricted sites which I find cool.

  10. Nick says:

A very much enjoy this website. Its where I get all my martial arts movie news, as well as action movie news, which is a good addition.

One I wish would be added (re-added) to the site is when new releases are out. There are individual posts for a single new release, but something like new releases for the month would be very helpful.

  11. David says:

Cityonfire is my first and only place to go to for all my Asian/action film news. I have tried other sites; but they all fail in comparison. Cityonfire always has the latest news. I usually check in twice a day as they are always adding updates. Updates may also include release dates and movie reviews.

They also team up with Amazon and offer deals on fire for great Blu-ray deals. All in all this is the one and only site for your Martial Arts fix. Thanks for being there for us.

  12. Edwin says:

City on Fire is 1/3 of the trifecta of website (the other two being Twitch and Film Combat Syndicate) that I visit on a near-daily basis in order to keep myself as up-to-date as possible on news regarding Asian, action, and martial arts cinema. The frequency of updates is extremely impressive, and nobody does a better job of scooping the competition on informing me when movies I’m interested in are being released in theaters and on home video. Along the same lines, the “Deal on Fire” updates are often relevant to me, and I’ve cashed in on more than a few good DVD/Blu-ray deals thanks to CoF. The layout of the site is simple and easy to read, and I appreciate the style of updating that retains older information about a project earlier in the article.

On the Minor, Constructive Criticism front: I’m pretty sure the website used to have semi-regular “Recently Added to Netflix” posts about relevant movies that had recently become available for streaming, a feature that I miss and would love to see brought back. I also agree with the earlier poster who wanted to see Tuesday releases brought back.

Other than those few minor quibbles, I couldn’t ask for a better website, and will continue visit it with great frequency as long as the quality and dedication to frequent updates continues. Keep up the great work!

  13. Clay says:

I have been using this site for years. A great resource for the best of Asian cinema. Great reviews and recommendations. The best part for me is they aren’t just fanboys who have no idea what they are talking about like some other sites, they know whats up in the world of Asian cinema, and they pay respects to the old school which to me is very important. Gotta love the name of the site. Keep up the great work!

  14. Jason Williard says:

I have been coming to this site for a while now and love it. I stop at this site everyday. There is so much info and Asian Cinema it is great. They have great reviews, trailers, inside info, etc.. If you’re into Asian Cinema you need to check them out!!

  15. Rosemary says:

I love City on Fire. It’s a great site to get all the latest, most up to date news and reviews on Asian Cinema. It’s my go to site. I also love the Deals on Fire. Try it and you won’t be disappointed!

  16. Nivek says:

The ONLY site you need to stay updated on asian cinema.

  17. Sheldon says:

As a lover of Asian cinema, I can express only love, joy, and commitment towards cityonfire.com. Not only do I check it regularly, it’s actually a permanent fixture on my internet browser as one of my primary tabs open. I love the updates and the information. It’s well-organized. It covers everything from current films to DVDs/Blu-rays to classics — basically everything I need to stay updated. Thank you guys for keeping up the hard work. Just know that it comes very much appreciated by your loyal fans — me being one of them! Rock on!

  18. Sapo says:

I love the site. You guys are my MAIN source for the type of films I love. Before I go to my DVD spot, I always check in and see whats coming out. And I love the different contests (and not because I won once), but because it shows how you give back to the fans. I love that. It says a lot about the guys BEHIND the scenes. But my biggest compliment is how you show love to films that may not get recognition elsewhere. Thank you.

  19. Eric The Red says:

City On Fire is my “go to” source for information on the latest martial arts movies. It is updated very frequently unlike other sites I have been to. They even post “Deals On Fire” where you can go to purchase movies at a great discount price! Keep up the good work.

  20. Isaac says:

I came across City on Fire a while ago while I was searching for new martial arts titles. It is the “to go” place for me when I want to find out what is going on with martial arts, anime, or any other action film. Not only do they have breaking news, but the “deals on fire” and the updates on high quality cinema are priceless. I highly recommend it, and now I even have my friends checking the site as well. Keep up the good work!

  21. Mo says:

City on Fire is my go-to website for Asian Cinema. I visit the site multiple times a day. I just wish I hadn’t discovered it so late. Thank you for all that you do.

  22. Alan tan says:

The website provides me with up to date information on current Asian and Hollywood films as well as international films, keep up the good work!

  23. Andy says:

    Hi guys,
Just wanted to say that I’ve been checking Cityonfire.com for a while now and I love this site. I’m a big fan of martial arts movies. I’m always checking this site, sometimes several times a week to find out about the latest news and releases on Asian Cinema as well as deals on fire, also love the asian version of movie posters, awesome stuff. You guys do a great job. Keep it up! Thank you!!!

  24. JJ Hatfield says:

I was first impressed by the knowledge of Asian and other foreign films as well as the martial arts. As I spent more time I discovered that the site owner Mighty Peking Man was very honest in his reviews and opinions and carried that throughout COF. So good to find a place that doesn’t censor to please this or that sponsor. The reviews are still a favorite but there is much more. The news is fresh and on target. Feature articles, interviews with people who are making the action, current and upcoming notable releases and yes those remarkable posters.
COF is a very special site and the only one I trust!
Thanks MPM!! and thanks to everyone who contributes!

  25. Sheila F says:

I have loved Asian films for awhile now, and am glad to see that companies are releasing US versions of all types of films not just horror and martial arts (which are great too!). But, even though I love these films it was hard to find alot of information on releases and other pertinent information. CityonFire.com is a great place to find this information without having to search through a bunch of other sources As a new follower of this site, thank you for providing a great service.

  26. Emanuel Hawkins says:

I love COF!!! I love them for the news and movies straight from the source and trailers to movies that a traditional site like ign would never have! COF keeps me up to date with the latest foreign and domestic releases!!!

  27. Justin Bishop says:

There is no better place to get foreign/action movie news. One of the best things about this site are the people who run it. There is no air of superiority here. They are fans just like everyone else, and very knowledgable. It’s a good place to get your news and discuss your favorite films. Also, the site itself is very user friendly. City on Fire is a must for fans of these type of films.

  28. Tory says:

You guys are still killing it after all these years. It’s like I’ve said before, I’ve been coming to this site since I was a kid. I’m talking middle school, and I’m 25 now. It’s one of the only Asian film sites I grew up reading that’s still active. So you guys are simultaneously a great news site and a source of nostalgia. I come here every day and I thank you guys. There’s nothing to change because you guys already kick ass. City on Fire is where you get your Asian film news.

  29. Danny Sierra-Santana says:

What more can I say that others have echo that cityonfire.com is the go-to website for action based movies & Martial Arts/ Asian cinema fans. I really don’t have any qualm with the site at this time. It’s always up to date with the latest news/releases/sales which is great for me since there is only so many sites I try to keep tabs with. What really stands out for me is your movie reviews are straight to the point without having to spoil the story and the writing of those reviews is a style that I resonate with. Not too long and heavy worded but simple enough to know if the movie is worth a view to me or any other reader out there. So I guess my only suggestion is more movie reviews which is always a good thing. Do love the review of old movies that I may had missed. Definitely makes me chase down those films if its recommended. 🙂

    Keep it up guys!

  30. Chris Lane says:

I originally got into martial arts movies watching kung-fu theater with my dad and I,ve been hooked ever since. From the likes of Bruce Lee, Gordon Liu, Sammo Hung, and Jackie Chan, I always looked forward to watching them every Saturday! I,ve continued loving asian action, comedy, and drama movies throughout the years but I never had a place where i could find the info i wanted on new titles, until i found you guys at Cityonfire.com. From preorder information, brand new movie announcements, movie reviews, and even deals on dvd and bluray releases, cityonfire has become the place i go to for all my asian and action movie needs. You guys are an awesome website and I hope you’ll be around for a long time.

  31. Kyle Warner says:

Sometime not so long ago, I became fascinated with films from Asia, notably Japan and Hong Kong. I tried to get my hands on as many as I could, but I was always a step behind when it came to new releases. CityonFire.com changed that. Really though, there’s not many sites that bother telling movie fans about the next Chow Yun-Fat, Donnie Yen, Takashi Miike, Kang-ho Song, or Jackie Chan (or whoever) movies anymore. So, for me as a fan of these stars and their movies, this site is very useful for keeping up to date. I also follow on tumblr. If there’s one thing I wish the site did more of, it’s reviews. I believe there has been an increase in reviews since when I first started visiting the site, but I still think there could be more. Despite this, cityonfire.com is a favorite site of mine. Constantly updated, full of news and release info. Great site.

  32. Jeff says:

Thanks for keeping us updates on of all the news. Cityonfire.com is a news funnel of all my favorite martial art/action actors and asian/international films alike packed into one. It’s an ideal site for me to go to for any updates and news of all the actors and upcoming films. Each and every updates of each film or actor entice me to keep wanting to read updates and eventually watch the film later. Big shout out to all you guys.

  33. bill norris says:

Your site has an ease of use thats top notch. I enjoy your coverage of the movies that intrest me as well. Im pretty new to the site, but i will be checking it out more often.

  34. Nick says:

I’ve just recently started using the site, so I don’t have too much to say other than keep up the good work, digging everything thus far!

  35. Chris says:

I first started visiting CityonFire to read their asian cinema reviews. I was huge fan of Samurai Sunday when I was kid and I wanted to re-watch those old-school kung-fu movies on DVD, however; I did not know their titles. So I read the reviews (which are very entertaining!) and was able to back into the title. Keep up the good work! I especially appreciate your exclusives like the “Meet the Venoms”, “Game of Death – Game Over”, and the recent Hwang Jang Lee interview. CityonFire is also always up-to-date with info as well – much appreciated!

  36. Stefan says:

Great reviews, a clean and easy to use site (Which is asking a lot when it comes to sites that cater to this kind of stuff), awesome content, and awesome recommendations. I love this site more than my wife and kids.

  37. Adam Ayala says:

These guys churn out so many awesome reviews. I love the old school Shaw Bros. titles, and they keep me in the know with many of these release that its hard to find adequate information on any place else. I wish other review sites would put this much work and energy into their write ups, and they just keep them coming! Epic. Truly!

  38. 31FilmTalk says:

I love this site so much. Its where I get all my Asian film news and also mostly when I find out release dates for blurays and DVDs. Overall, love this site and I continue to keep coming back. One other minor thing, I wish people would interact more in the comments section. I know this is not the site’s fault, its the visitors. Seems like each article is lucky if it gets 2 comments.

  39. Damon says:

Information on DVD/blu-ray releases is much appreciated, keep it up! Would like to see more reviews and news. Site looks great, generally pretty pleased with it!

  40. Matt says:

This is my go-to site for Asian and martial arts cinema news and reviews. The thing I enjoy most about this website are the reviews. There are many and I enjoy the perspective taken…they watch these movies for what they are and understand the target audience. Overly critical reviews for genre films(or any, for that matter) are very annoying..and there is none of that here. Films are entertainment first, and here that is understood. They stay up to date on any news and releases. One thing I would like to see is some more features written, but all in all, this is a great site and I check it at least daily.

  41. Josh Boutwell says:

By far cityonfire is the best place for news on martial arts movies which is exactly what I come for!

  42. Ronald Oliver says:

I’ve been enjoying coming to City on Fire for some time now. Your site lives up to its name, and is truly on fire! with many great thoughtful reviews, as well as news pertaining to Asian cinema, including Martial Arts and action movies, and more! It’s my one stop for the aforementioned. Oh, and your giveaways are awesome, too! I enjoy participating in them, and you guys always know how to make them fun! Keep up the great work guys! ..it shows in all the quality content that you provide. And I appreciate all that you do

  43. Jason Williard says:

I stop at this site everyday. There is so much info on Action, Asian, & Cult movies it is great. They have great reviews, trailers, inside info, etc.. If you’re into Asian Cinema you need to check them out!! –

  44. Fabian says:

I always check out this site every day to see a new review, or new trailer, or new NEWS……..ON SEAGAL, Van Damme, Jet Li, Donnie yen LOVING DONNIE YEN, and of course STEVEN SEAGAL………This site is so so awesome, great reviews, fun previews of films, and as a dude who seen a crap load of films, this site IS EPIC AWESOME

  45. RHONDA FORBES says:

I only recently discovered this site so I am still doing a lot of exploring and discovering of the site. so far though, I can honestly say that I love the site. It offers insightful reviews !It is a shame that these movies are not better now because many of them of wonderful like this site.

  46. Huseyin Seis says:

I just discovered this site today. Currently I have limited sources about Asian Cinema releases and being a massive Asian Cinema fan this is like a goldmine! I think i’ll be visiting Daily.
I grew up on Asian cinema from Ringo Lam, John Woo, Jackie Chan and Beat Takeshi. Its nice to see a site that recognises fans like us!

  47. Andrew O'Donnell says:

I basically stumbled onto this website looking at foreign action movies. i generally watch most of the Well go usa stuff released through digital means, however their is a lot of rare stuff that I either missed or don’t have access to. That’s kind of what i’m most interested in is seeing and reading about movies I wouldn’t have already known about. It’s partly about discovering new movies as well as being a collector of action movies.

  48. filmbeats says:

I’m surprised, I haven’t discovered this website sooner, lots of good reviews here. With recent closures of BeyondHollywood and MidnightEye, I certainly anticipate visiting CityOnFire.

  49. Pai Mei says:

You guys run a great site. But I must admit, I do feel a little guilty. It seems you’ve designed this website based on my own specific needs. (I’ve never physically met anyone that comes close to sharing my love for Asian cinema… But to be fair, I do live in a rather small southern town 😛 ) Personally, I love reading the in-depth old school kung fu reviews. On the seldom occasion that you review one that I have yet to watch, I usually go out of my way and try to find it for myself. I’m also always interested in the latest news regarding new movies on the horizon, whether it be Asian or a action Hollywood blockbuster. Also, the occasional, incredibly informative interviews are always a blast to read.
Thanks for being my daily go-to site and to all those involved. Your site is like a 100 times better than MSN.com.

  50. ken lee says:

Awesome Website to get latest news on martial art movies and the newest trailers right when they come out. they also have great reviews. I am very happy with everything that CityOnFire does.

  51. Isaac says:

City On Fire is my top site to check for martial art titles both old and new. The detailed reviews really help to guide me in purchasing some of the best DVDs that are out there. From old school classics from Gordan Liu to new cinema from Tony Jaa, City On Fire has it covered!

  52. Anthony Crabtree says:

For me, this is the site to go to for news about film. Along with the news, the site has excellent reviews of films that sometimes I haven’t seen mentioned (and certainly not reviewed) on any other websites. It’s a fantastic site. I can’t speak highly enough about City on Fire. Keep up the good work, guys!

  53. Joey Unger says:

I just recently discovered this site but love it so far! Up to date news on martial arts movies and tons of great throwback posters and gear!

  54. Sam Ng says:

City On Fire is one of my favorite sites to read for reviews for films I actually care about. Its one of the few sites that also posts frequent news updates on new martial arts and Asian action films. Love it!

  55. Maxine Dennis says:

Love this site and love Asian action films. Wondering if anyone knows the name of an Asian crime movie about a “go player” that avenges his brother’s death due to his brother’s cheating during a “go game.”

Edit: It’s a Korean movie called ‘The Divine Move’ from 2014. I reviewed it here. – Paul Bramhall

  56. OpiumKungFuAsshole says:

I get all my dvd/blu’s just from clicking the link posted on this site!!! Cash prizes for all of us. You guys are the best. Go movies, I love it!!! Yeah!!!!!

  57. laget says:

    Love your site.
May I give a youtube link to an hommage we pay to Godfrey Ho’s film.
This is the fourth episode of the famous ninja film franchise created by Roadkill Superstar – Montreal.

  58. hank says:

Huge fan of the site. I’ve been a fan of Asian cinema and action films in general and this is basically the only site I visit. Great news updates, I love how you constantly revise articles when news breaks so you can get the whole story (ex: the never ending saga of Van Damme’s Full Love). Also the well written reviews on new and classic movies are always a treat, and have helped me find plenty of great films (and avoid some stinkers too). Keep up the great work!

  59. Bernie W says:

I enjoy reading your site. I especially enjoy the giveaways and the comments to the funny trailers that you post. Keep up the good work.

  60. James L says:

I can not remember when I discovered City on Fire, but I can tell you that I have been visiting ever since. I am able to find out about movies that I have never heard of as well as news about movies that I am waiting to see. Love this site.

  61. Sharon L Walsh says:

I run a Facebook page dedicated to Asian films and culture. We are mostly alive and vibrant thanks to my being able to post the latest news, upcoming movies and DVDs because of CityonFire.com. It’s where I find movies that I want to buy, and read reviews before buying.

  62. Andrew Hernandez says:

It’s difficult to find websites with reliable information on Asian DVDs or if the movie is good. I’m glad cityonfire.com provides that and more. I’m glad they post the release dates, and I find that Paul’s reviews are very well thought out and explained even if I don’t agree with all of them.

I’m happy to visit every week, and hope to see more discussions on the website among film fans.

  63. Tomas Ford says:

This is truly a awesome site that dedicates not just martial arts films, but all of the movie genres. Ever since watching Enter The Dragon when I was 12 in 1992, I was totally hooked. This place is great to know all about some of my favorite actors and actresses and what I can expect from them. Also, the reviews of the movies are well thought out and very informative. I always look forward to see what’s next and Cityonfire.com is definitely the place. Thanks so much and keep up the good work!

  64. dilford says:

Still a newbie in this area, but the depth of coverage, reviews, etc. make this a regular destination as I try to balance building a core collection of classic films while snagging the most worthwhile of new releases.

Don’t understand the interest in non-Asian “action” flicks, but that’s just me.

  65. Danny Santana says:

After so many years coming to this site, it has still proven to be an invaluable resource of news relating to HK cinema, from your Korean thrillers, to the Japanese Yakuza flicks and the martial arts movies and alike, revolving around the world. I am always thrill and enthusiastically digest the new posts that appear each and everyday to catch up on this hobby of mine.

  66. Jo says:

I love this site. I am such a Asian movie fan and this site tells me about the movies coming out and reviews are awesome. Many times I have come and found movies that I knew I would love and bought them and you were right. One of my favorite sites.

  67. Bharat Dhanireddy says:

Recently discovered this website and it is a cool site with great reviews on movies and blurays and will use it more while deciding on purchasing blurays. Would like to see more deals on fire though! Thanks guys for all the hard work in making this site.

  68. paul dever says:

cityonfire is my one stop location for all my asian cinema news and reviews. They are one of my old haunts that still is as relevant to me now as when i first started following them so many years ago!

  69. Ben says:

I’ve been on here three years, and it never gets boring. The news, reviews, and importer information are all top notch. Also, the contests are a blast!

  70. Sharon says:

Love this site-it’s my go-to for Asian films , esp. big on action and the occasional horror when the industry comes out with them. They also have awesome contests to win free blu rays on the latest movies they review. Great site!

  71. I visit this site at least once a day. From the news to the reviews, I love everything about this site. There are very few sites on Asian films that get them right. Thank you so much for being that site. You guys rock.

  72. Mike Collins says:

Have been visiting for a few years – love the site, love the advance notice on theatrical and home video releases, etc. I find the reviews to be incisive and enjoyable, BUT … many of the films reviewed are not easy to find. It would certainly help if reviews were followed by a note as to their availability (domestic, import, or “grey-market”). Thanks for listening.

  73. Ron says:

Been rockin’ with the site for a minute. They have a “if ain’t broke, don’t fix” mindset. There hasn’t been any changes to where a follower would be turned off by the site. The news and reviews have been coming in on a regular basis so there isn’t any reason for complaining on my side. Keep it up.

  74. Hank says:

As a fan of both Asian and action cinema, it’s so great to have one website that fills me in on all the latest news I’m looking for, as well as fantastic and insightful features and reviews. Also, the contests are always fun and I’ve won multiple amazing prizes! I never win anything ever, so this site makes me feel like a special snowflake!

  75. Jason Williard says:

I love City on Fire! They are my go to source for all things Asian film related. I visit the site once daily. Check them out!!

  76. Chad Harry says:

I’ve been coming to this site for several years now. It is still the best site for news on action films period! Up to date, fun to read articles are easily found. Reviews, movies to be released or being rereleased. When I need my martial art movie fix. This is the site I visit. Plus you can not deny how awesome the contest.

  77. John Chang says:

I appreciate the fact that you have a variety of voices covering different movies and also that you introduce me to a lot of old movies that I wouldn’t otherwise seek out on my own.

A couple things that I would like is more reviews of movies that have recently gotten Blu-ray releases, like the movies you cover in release news or movies you put up for contests, so I can figure out if I want to get something you mentioned. The other thing would be to let us know if any movie you cover is available for purchase, what formats and where (complete with affiliate link so I can click on it and send a little more $ your way.).

    Thanks for good work!

  78. Toad Style says:

I enjoy that the news pieces are more than a cut and paste of a press release. The true gem last of the site are the reviews – they’re honest and do a good job cross referencing actors and highlighting the quality of the action scenes, which is what drew me to the site initially. The news feed is on my daily rotation of web browsing for sure.

  79. Sharon Walsh says:

You all are still the best source for action film news anywhere. I count on you to find new (and classic) Asian film for my Facebook page, Kwaidan Klub. We all love Asian films of all kinds, and City on Fire has allowed me to keep the page fresh and new on a daily basis.

  80. Andrew says:

Thank you for prividing one of my quintessential sources for all the updates, news etc. of all the genres of film that i’m interested in.
Also for your great giveaways, informative reviews, and sale notifications.
The only thing I wish you guys would add to the site would be a proper search bar, because there have been times when I’m looking for something I saw in the past, and it’s hard for me to track down again.
Other than that not much to complain about, keep up the outstanding work!!
    Take care

Love the site, it’s my go-to for info on martial arts and Asian oriented action films. One critique that I intend to be constructive: Reading the review of the latest Kickboxer film that was posted yesterday, I was surprised to see that it got a 4.5 out of 5 rating, when it read like it was going to get a 2.5 or 3 at best. If ‘5’ is best in class, ‘4.5’ isn’t far behind, and that review certainly didn’t read like it was one of the best action films on the scene.

I like the detailed analysis, but scores like that undercut what you established in the body of the review. My suggestion would be to be work at having the rating reflect the review.

    Keep up the great work!

Hi mstradford, thanks for the positive feedback! Always good to know that our efforts to keep as up-to-date as possible don’t go unnoticed. Regarding your comments on the ‘Kickboxer: Retaliation’ review (it was myself that wrote that one), I’d urge you to double check the score, and you’ll see that the rating is out of 10, not 5. COF’s rating system has always been on a marks out of 10 basis, so if you’ve been checking out movies based on them being given a 4 or 4.5, and expecting them to be pretty good, we sincerely apologize. 😛

I discovered this website only a few days back, and ever since I am going crazy with excitement, having discovered so many amazing action movies from countries all over the world. It is very difficult to find timely information on Korean/Japanese/Chinese releases so I have no words to describe how grateful I am to this website, wouldn’t mind donating a few. Keep up the good work!

It looks like the Comments functionality has been changed up a bit, and now on every post, there’s a giant “X COMMENTS – CLICK TO VIEW” banner that displays in bolded 40px text. Any plans to tone that down a bit so it’s not so intrusive?

Do you have a newsletter? It would be easier to keep up with new information.

Agree, we should, but in all honesty, probably won’t happen any time soon. I think the best way for now is follow us on Facebook (our most active social media account) or Twitter.
