Colosseum Films announce Blu-ray for Bruce Lee’s ‘Game of Death: Pagoda Cut’ to celebrate its 45th anniversary

To celebrate the 45th anniversary of its release, later this year Colosseum Films will be releasing Game of Death: Pagoda Cut Limited Edition Blu-ray (All Region), the debut title from a new independent label inspired by the Little Dragon. Promising a whole host of new special features, below is the full press release –

Colosseum Films is proud to present a new vision for Bruce Lee’s crowning achievement 45 years after its original release with Game of Death: Pagoda Cut. Developed through years of research and analysis based on Bruce Lee’s own notes on the production, Colosseum Films representative George Fan explains, “Game of Death is considered to be the black sheep in Lee’s filmography since it wasn’t completed, however looking at his notes, it’s clear that the Little Dragon wanted to create the ultimate fight fest, and the Pagoda Cut stays true to that vision, creating what could be the closest we ever get to what the original GOD would have looked like.”

To do this, the Colosseum Films team have utilised the latest AI and deep fake technology to digitally apply Bruce Lee’s facial likeness to the pagoda-based segments in The New Game of Death, Enter the Game of Death, and The True Game of Death, and seamlessly branch them into Lee’s own footage. Fan goes on to elaborate that, “In the existing GOD footage Bruce Lee only fights a handful of opponents, but now thanks to the latest AI technology we’ll see him fighting over 15! Of course this means we’ve also re-imagined the pagoda itself, and in our new version we’ve used state of the art CGI to create what can best be described as a pagoda, almost skyscraper type hybrid. Fans of GOD have a lot to be excited about.”

The release will be limited to 1000 pressings and is stacked with special features, alongside some never before seen collectibles, the full details of which can be found below –
