  1. Ben says:

I’m not sure if this counts as a grind house flick, but I really like Soylent Green because it’s 70s science fiction at its best.

  2. Kyle says:

Shogun Assassin, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Rolling Thunder.
Because they embody everything Grindhouse cinema is and play to the best of the genres abilities while showcasing everything one would need to know about what to expect from 70’s Grindhouse cinema.

  3. Jeff says:

The Streetfighter. I watched it as a kid, and it set the standard for badass.

  4. Damon says:

    THE STREET FIGHTER – x-ray punch, bare-handed junk-ripping, super-badass Sonny Chiba!

  5. Chris says:

Black Belt Jones. Jim Kelley at one of his best as he destorys the bad guys under a veil of car wash soap suds. Tons of the bad guys take a beating to their groin, so much so, it almost gets old…but not quite.

  6. Nick G says:

Mad Max. Ozploitation just grabbed me with the reckless action and insane stunts, too wicked.

  7. bill norris says:

coffy with Pam Grier. She kicked much @$$.

  8. mike says:

    Texas Chainsaw Massacre

  9. Glincy A says:

Death Wish! Middle aged guy gets the punks responsible for killing and raping his family? It’s both tragic and romantic!

  10. Matthew A. says:

So hard theres so many, Texas chainsaw massacre, Halloween, I Spit on your grave!

  11. Adam Ayala says:

Massacre Mafia Style aka The Executioner (1978) 79 minutes of wall to wall grindhouse bliss.. Its dark comedy, and off kilter violence soaked with LSD visuals entertains me to no end. Been watching the bootleg for years, and I’m diligently waiting the Grindhouse Releasing Blu coming down the pike.. along with the never released sequel Gone With the Pope. If you’re unfamiliar with them gems check out the trailer asap.

  12. Stefan says:

G.I. Samurai with Sonny Chiba, because who doesn’t want to see modern weapons mixed with samurais with a healthy serving of nudity on the side?

  13. Amelia says:

Dawn of the Dead and Night of the Living Dead! Need I explain more? They’re zombie classics!

Suspiria… Because it’s tense, and it truly is frightening. The confusion adds to that fear. Dario Argento is a genius!

  14. Ronald Oliver says:

My favorite exploitation movie from the 1970’s is ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ (1974).
Because it was a terrific (terrorific) horror movie with a gripping story that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole movie! ..with a great cast! The film holds up very well to this day! It’s a classic!
