My favorite is Sergio Leone’s Once Upon A Time in The West. Every shot, every frame, every bit of dialogue, and even the music is pure greatness.
Runners up are Fistful of Dollars, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, Django and The Great Silence. As you can see, I’m not really a fan of Westerns, but I do love an Italian western (they feel like Hong Kong action flicks!).
The wild bunch ,a Sam Peckinpah directed western, since it was brutal and violent with a lot of slow motion ,which was rather unique in style when it first came out in the 1970s.
Django Unchained, great story and action I know it’s newer, but I loved it. Some of my other favorites are Unforgiven, Hang ‘Em High, and The Quick and the Dead.
I like The Outlaw Josey Wales, it’s very quotable.
Open Range would be my favorite, great story and action, gunfights seem realistic.
3:10 to Yuma (remake) Bale and Crowe are at the top of there game in this fantastic remake. The story is fun and exciting
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. I grew up watching this classic with my pops many times. Not Clint’s Best Movie, but man there was so many great moments and the soundtrack was outstanding. Tuco (Eli Wallach) stole the show, every scene he was in was memorable! Classic Film!
‘Tombstone’ is one of my favorite Western films. You got Wyatt Earp plays by Kurt Russell and Doc Holliday by Val Kilmer… that alone makes a perfect ensemble cast for the battle at Tombstone. Not a total classic but a great action western movie.
Maverick with Mel Gibson & James Garner, the whole movie all the way through is lots of fun
True Grit because it was a superb movie in my opinion. I also loved the actors in this film. I thought they did a great job
It’s gotta be The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Cinematic myth-making at its finest. Those wide shots, the suspense, the central trio, the brilliant Morricone score…it might be the coolest film of all time. And the ending always gets a laugh out of me.
Shanghai Noon because it’s exciting and funny. And I love Jackie Chan!
