I have to say Rocky IV. What’s not to love? Besides, it has more training sequences than a Billy Blanks workout video. And how about that rockin’ synth soundtrack?
Runner up would be Showdown in Little Tokyo…
I really like The Punisher as it is just an incredible action movie.
I’ll have to go with Johnny Mnemonic. Mainly because of his character as the Street Preacher. Hilarious! 2nd being Dark Angel.
My favorite Dolph Lundgren film would be a tie between Rocky IV and Master of the Universe.
Showdown in Little Tokyo is probably my favorite of his.
Dolph Lundgren, the intellectual action star with a 3rd degree black belt in Karate was not a typical action hero. He holds a master’s degree in engineering and was offered a full scholarship to MIT but chose to become an actor instead. I enjoyed his character in The Expandables quite a bit because he wasn’t a good guy or a bad guy but a victim of circumstances and he played it quite well as a goof-ball type of mercenary that gravitated wherever the wind blows but in the end became part of Sly’s group and a good guy after all.
Dark Angel. But I still call it I Come in Peace. Even today, the movie holds up. The acting (some lines are cheesy but so what), the quick pace, and the story. This movie deserves more love that it gets. Dolph did a great job and had great chemistry with Brian Benben, who always has a place in my heart for his work on the series Dream On.
my favorite Dolph Lundgren film is universal soldier cause he was a crazy cool offbeat bad guy. he played his part well. pretty good action film from the 90s.
Universal Soldier is my favorite. I think it is one of both Van Damme and Lundgren’s best movies. Lundgren was so menacing and his ear necklace was crazy. “Nice necklace. I have one just like it made out of noses.” haha
