“The Guilty Ones” Theatrical Poster
If you’ve read Paul Bramhall’s article Made (& Remade) in Asia, this next bit of news is hardly a surprise. In 2013, a South Korean thriller film called Montage was released; in 2016 it was remade in Hindi as Te3n; now a Chinese remake, titled The Guilty Ones, is on its way this year (via AFS).
The Guilty Ones (aka You Are the Murderer) follows a terminally ill mother who finds renewed determination to catch the perpetrator who abducted and killed her daughter ten years ago.
Directed by Wang Wei, The Guilty Ones stars Wang Qianyuan (Shadow, Saving Mr. Wu) and Song Jia (The Final Master, Shock Wave).
