Cheng Pei-pei, the Chinese-born action film icon who starred in Ang Lee’s Oscar-nominated Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and King Hu’s seminal wuxia feature Come Drink With Me, has died on July 17, 2024 from a degenerative brain disease. She was 78 (via Variety).
What a shame. She was an awesome person and pioneer rip
She played in some great movies.We have lost a legend this day.
RIP Cheng Pei Pei. An absolute legend that starrred in so many seminal masterpeices. She was so brilliant in so many of her supporting roles as well especially comedies like The Flirting Scholar.
Truly a great Actress in this Genre and will be missed. Had to watch a Marathon of her movies on the weekend.
