Shout! Factory presents the Blu-ray for 1990’s Captain America, directed by Albert Pyun (Cyborg). However the question of who would want to own the 1990 Captain America crapfest remains without an answer.
The best part of owning a special edition of a shitty movie are the interviews, documentaries and commentaries behind it. I personally would want to know what the filmmakers were thinking. lol
I’m guessing the people who would buy it are those who want to see that Roger Corman Fantastic Four thing on DVD/BD.
I would definitely buy it. A lot of nostalgia there. Too bad they didn’t bundle it with its sequel.
Was there a sequel for this? I know Shout! released a Captain America DVD that contained two titles, but I believe they were just the 1970’s TV series. As far as movies, I don’t think the Pyun movie ever had a sequel.
I had to look it up because it has been so long since I have seen them but you are partially right. There was 2 1970s Captain America TV movies which were completely separate from this. So, I will now need to pick up the 2 1970s movies and this to clarify which is which in my head.
Plus Albert Pyun rocks.
Good call.
