RELEASE DATE: October 11, 2011
David Lord (Kellan Lutz of “Eclipse”) finds himself forced into the savage world of a modern gladiatorial arena, where men fight to the death for the entertainment of the online masses. Also starring Samuel L. Jackson (“Shaft”), James Remar (“48 Hrs”) and Daniel Dae Kim (“Lost”). Check out the trailer here.
Yeah, there was a trailer for this before “Never Back Down 2.” It looks really bad but I guess it can’t be TOO awful if they roped Samuel L. Jackson into it, right? The trailer made it look like he had a big role.
This really wasn’t a very good movie but I suppose Arena was worth seeing once as long as you have a cost effective way of renting. I’ve been using Blockbuster Movie Pass since it came out. Mainly because it makes me feel like trying movies that I’m not so sure about is completely risk free, if they’re really terrible you can always just take them in for an in-store exchange and I’ve found a couple of gems I wouldn’t have otherwise watched. Plus with Blockbuster’s streaming and movie channels there’s a ton of options. As a DISH Network employee I love telling people they can get 12 months of Blockbuster Movie Pass absolutely free when they sign up for DISH!
