It’s one of the best action movies ever made. But even the silly moments like the handcuff scene are well done and have that comedic rhythm and timing that can only be found in HK cinema.
I hope Bey Logan isn’t involved with this. 88 Film’s partnership with him is what caused Mike Leeder and Arne Venema to stop doing business with them.
Did Logan officially commit some kind of crime?? I’m confused!!! Or are we going off what the Chinese press says?? I think all these other guys who do below average commentaries (that chunky British guy who never got laid and his goofy sidekick come to mind lol) are afraid of the original master to show the them how a real hk commentary is done! Its not 88’s faul… they just want QC!

I’m going to believe someone who knew Logan personally for years and can verify what an abusive bully he is. Leeder has class and would not drag him through the mud for no reason.
Logan’s comments of “It’s not what I did, but more what I tried to do” are pretty much an admission of guilt. Anyways, 88 Films have decided not to include their Logan extras for future releases, so they have listened to the backlash.
He is a POS no doubt but Logans commentaries are several leagues above Leeder and his sidekick. They spend more time humble bragging about being in the thick of it during HK’sheydey than actually giving insight into the movie they should be discussing

Fact is bey performs better commentaries than mike leeder (”Facts don’t care about your feelings”).

That’s really a matter of opinion regarding commentaries, and quoting another scumbag doesn’t get the point across.
I know Jackie Chan is far from being a perfect human. Everyone is. He doesn’t have the same allegations against him though. I’ve always had a love/hate view of Chan because of his personal views and whatnot, but he’s not the same as Logan.

As a huge Donnie Yen fan I’m really excited were getting this film! Hoping this is the beginning of them remastering all his classic work!
even though I’ll be double dipping on Yes, Madam & ITLOD 4 this is an immediate preorder as soon as 88Films puts it on their site. Just hoping for a poster of that gorgeous box art!
The Eureka releases have some great looking extras so far. I wish they were appearing here too.
I love that so many classic (and some just fun/guilty pleasure) martial arts flicks are being given solid remastering and physical releases. I love it. Hands down. However, I’m also growing slightly tired of 88Films, Shout, Eureka, and even VinegarSyndrome all putting out their own releases of many of the same titles within short (and getting shorter) periods of time from each other. I find myself at least double dipping for titles (which is my own personal problem) but wish instead each company would focus *more* on unique titles from each other so we’d get more variety of classics redone and on excellent physical media releases. In the end, this isn’t really a complaint but just a selfish wish to get more of my and your favorites out (remastered/repackaged) and in our hands.

This is half stupid… one thing is to do new work with Bey Logan and I´m not into that because of what he is, but other is to use an archival commentary.
Regarding who´s speaking, a commentary is a perspective from a personal point of view… the more the merrier, and this move is a way for that perspective to be lost forever.
This is great news for fans of the action-packed ‘In the Line of Duty’ franchise! The fact that the complete collection will now be available on Blu-ray in the US is sure to excite fans who have been eagerly waiting for this release. With 88 Films at the helm, we can expect high-quality transfers and special features that will make this a must-have for collectors and fans alike. May 16 can’t come soon enough
It’s just unfortunate that Eureka’s releases seem to have better special features. I know Asian film fans are obligated to buy multi region players, but I’d like to have movies that I can bring to a friends’ house without lugging a big Blu Ray player around as well.
