On June 6, 2022, 88 Films is releasing the Blu-ray (Region B) for the 1977 Lo Wei film, The Killer Meteors, a wuxia-style martial arts feature that brings two legends – Jimmy Wang Yu and Jackie Chan – together in an explosive kung fu cult classic.

Official details:

Known as “Killer Meteors”, local hero Mei Xing He (Jimmy Wang Yu) is invincible due to his ‘secret weapon’. However, when his services are sought by another powerful figure, Hua Wu Bin (Jackie Chan), he finds himself drawn into the deadliest challenge of his life.

From the golden age of kung fu features, this epic movie delivers a killer plot peppered with high flying, quick as lightning fight scenes.

This title will soon be available at The Goodie Emporium, a U.S.-based online store that currently has many Import Shaw Brothers/Golden Harvest/martial arts DVD/Blu-ray movies in-stock – with New titles being added regularly!

    I noticed the art you posted doesn’t have the UK rating logo. Any chance this might get a US release?

      Big Ben – noticed that as well. Judging from 88 Films’ track record, we’re 90% sure this a UK release only. So far, other than “THE GESTAPO’S LAST ORGY”, only their Shaw releases were licensed for both Region A and Region B distribution. But definitely check back, because we try to update these posts with the latest and most accurate information (key word being “try”, but things like release dates, etc are constantly shifting).

    Ah, they still can’t resist making it look like Jackie is the star! But for a change, the image is at least what he looks like in the film! My VHS had one of those “black T-shirt” images on it.
