“Jade” Theatrical Poster
Stuntman-turned director James Bamford (Supergirl series) rounds up newcomer Shaina West (Killer’s Game) for Well Go USA’s Jade, a martial arts actioner that’s debuting exclusively on Digital on February 18th.
Bamford is perhaps best-known for his stunt work on Watchmen, Blade: Trinity, as well as directing episodes of DC’s Arrow and Superman and Lois.
The film also stars Mickey Rourke (Take Back, Double Team), Mark Dacascos (One Night in Bangkok, John Wick: Chapter 3) and Katherine McNamara (Arrow).
After her brother’s untimely and accidental death at her own hands, Jade (West) swore she’d never pick up another gun. But when she unknowingly comes between powerful businessman “Tork” and her former gang leader in their urgent search for a valuable hard drive that could single-handedly take down Interpol, she may not have a choice. With the guidance of Reese, an old friend at Interpol, Jade must come to terms with all she’s faced in the past and present to safeguard her growing family’s future.
Jade features action choreography from Daniel Joseph Rizzuto (Jiu Jitsu), Tony Vittorioso (Man from Toronto) with additional choreography from West and Bamford.

And another non Japanese movie with a non Asian and female usung a katana. This has become just laughable.
Damn Gagalagaille, i hope you never get round to watching Highlander, i mean a Scotsman played by a frenchman who is taught by an Egyptian played by a Scotsman who ends up using a katana…. thats just wrong on so many levels right?
Also theres a problem with a female using a katana? or is it her skin color you object to? what weapon should she be using?

Well, I’m sorry to tell you that we are in 2021 and that it’s not a novelty anymore, but a stupid cliché used just to (try to) look cool.
Really sorry again, but I don’t hate all women and all black people… I think Blind fury sucks. And I like 2008’s Ichi with the gorgeous Haruka Ayase too. Don’t be too fast to judge people you’ve only read one or a few sentence(s) on the Internet. Look at yourself in the mirror too, it’s a good thing (for me too).
Most people in the entire world are using Western clothes and stuff like that. It’s a fact. I rarely see people with a katana in the streets or anywhere else…
NOBODY except JAPANESE SAMURAI (with a few exceptions, I know) have used katana as a weapon, during war or not. It’s a fact too. I think they are more “Western clothes” in the world than katana, but I could be wrong.
So… For me it’s more glory to Hara-Kiri/Seppuku and f… s… like Kill Bill and all the rest.
But if you wanna represent the only truth in the world, no problem: I was wrong, you are right.
It’s just an efficient and cool-looking weapon. Chill.
Shaina West is very talented, and I hope this movie shows her at her best. Social media is filled with amazing stunt women, and there could easily be a new Girls with Guns renaissance if the powers that be weren’t a bunch a shit-heads.
Not to be confused with Jade from Mortal Kombat or that 90’s Jade movie from the Exorcist director.
This movie has been delayed for too long. The Killer’s Game only showed a slice of what Shaina West can do, and I hope we see more.
