In the remake, titled The Big Shot, Wang Qianyuan (Brotherhood of Blades) plays the lead role originally performed by Hwang Jeong-min (The Wailing) and Bao Bei’er (Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back) steps in for Yu Ah-in (Burning).

  1. Andrew Hernandez says:

I’m sure I’ll get a thrashing for it, but I wasn’t a fan of Veteran. I guess it was too hyped for me since I was expecting the throwback to 80’s and 90’s action classics it was advertised as.

I felt like there wasn’t that much action, and Jeong-Min’s character didn’t let loose like I wanted him to.

I hope the remake isn’t just sanitized and politically correct.

  2. AFS says:

Well it’s Wang Qianyuan and Bao Bei’er, not Sun Honglei and Wang Dalu ^^.
Sun and Wang were planned two years ago, but apparently not anymore.

  3. Paul says:

Loved this film on the long flight from Bangkok to London, Plenty of action , humour, sadness and compassion. I hope that i can buy this film in the UK ?.
