And we at robotechx.com all laughing

  2. Sundown says:

I’m gonna buy it! But that still does not explain why RobotechX is laughing…

  3. Max Sterling says:

You have to ask yourself why some people don’t want to see Robotech made available for anime fans that want it.

  4. STDZ says:

There is always problems with these Robotech sets. Fans complaining about original dubs, music, voices, edited cut versions, etc… They never get it right or perfect. It’s really a big mess for the old school die hard Robotech fans.

This is simply another cash grab from HG. This is just the A&E set plus the recently released 2 movie collection. most of the bonus materials here are those from the A&E set. Another thing is they should have included the original Mospeada LLA as a bonus in the RLLA release instead of making a pointless new box set to dump it. Now those who bought the 2 movie set/Australian RLLA only release, feels like they have been ripped off since MLLA was originally going be a bonus material for RLLA.

All said, they basically want you to triple dip on robotech stuff you already own. So if you already have the A&E box set, Shadow Chronicles, and the 2 movie collection/LLA , then there is really no point in buying this.

Watching Robotech fans buy the same 85 episodes of Robotech over again, is like watching a stupid person banging their head against a wall, then blaming the wall for doing it! I mean, it’s Harmony Gold! They have no integrity! All you have to do is look at the cheap bootleg art work for this set to prove that! As for Macross vs Robotech… Yes, why can’t Mac-cross fans accept Robotech is Anna-may, and that she has a pet called Carry-okie, and that right now I’m pay-tronizing them! Yes, they’re that stupid!

  7. Alex says:

Its another collection, yes. Its also another DVD collection. Truth be told, if you already own the complete series collection or even any of the 3 other collections, there really is no point in buying this.

Personally, I would like to see Robotech on Blu Ray already. But chances are, this wont happen anytime soon. For those that missed out on the movies, this collection updates the current status with the exception of Robotech The Movie. Despite negative feedback from audiences, I rather enjoyed it. Unfortunately, all you get is an edited version of it with the majority of the scenes removed due to licensing issues.

For those who have yet to own this masterpiece of Anime history, this is the definitive collection to own. It has it all (except for the full version of Robotech the Movie).

A concern however being the somewhat unstable boxset which a few have claimed is not a safe haven for your discs.

Fans have become a little upset of the lackluster releases beyond the 3 season show. And for every right. HG opened a saga using other Anime but did not close the story & fans are left with bated breath. A few fragments of continuity, in my opinion, are nice to take in. If I was to do it all again, the Complete Set would be my starting point.
