RELEASE DATE: March 12, 2013
Lionsgate presents the DVD for 2012’s Motorway, directed by Pou-Soi Cheang (Dog Bite Dog). Anthony Wong (Hard Boiled) and Shawn Yue (Infernal Affairs II) play two traffic cops who go after speeding bad guys in their disguised police car. Motorway is produced by the legendary Johnnie To (A Hero Never Dies). The film also stars Josie Ho and Ka Tung Lam. Watch the trailer.

The Chinese Blu-ray of this movie is stunning, shame Lionsgate isn’t springing for a hi-def release over here.
I don’t think they’ve ever released a hi-def version of ANY of their Asian releases. But yeah, it would be the first perfect opportunity for them, considering most, if not all their Asian releases are half-assed. They seem to take the crap that companies like Well Go USA don’t want.
The sad thing is, Motorway is probably the best Hong Kong movie I’ve seen all year so it actually deserves a decent release.
